Boundaries and Ethical Considerations

This training will focus on the importance of boundaries and ethics. When people care for others, it is difficult to remain professional, as oversharing or over-caring can become a challenge. This training will help folks understand the Zone of Helpfulness, boundaried approaches, ethical standards, etc., so that attendees may feel comfortable and confident with their style of compassion and care.

Bob Krome has worked in the field of therapy/behavior supports for the last 14 years with people with Intellectual Disabilities. He is a current member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) and the Mid-Atlantic Region for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (MARATSA). Bob is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professional (CSOTP).

Vance Farrell is a trainer with New Leaf Supports and has a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology. He has worked in the mental health field for 9 years and is a Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor.
