Hosted by The Center for Autism Research (CAR) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
This workshop is geared toward parents, caregivers and professionals supporting individuals with autism who are between the ages 9-15.
As children approach and enter the teenage years, they must deal with physical growth spurts, mindboggling hormone releases, and ever-changing and challenging social relationships. With the right supports, this can also be a time of opportunity and growth.
There is a nominal charge for sessions, but please reach out if this causes a financial hardship. Cost: $10
Parking passes are available to purchase in advance for $5
Requests for language interpreter or other accommodation services must be received 3 weeks in advance of the workshop.
Center for Autism Research (CAR) is based at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, with research and collaborations spanning CHOP, the University of Pennsylvania, and other academic institutions nationally and internationally. Their three-part mission is to understand the causes of autism, in order to develop effective interventions and supports through research; to serve the needs of autistic individuals and their family members through education and guidance throughout the lifespan; and to train the next generation of master clinicians and scientists in state-of-the-science best practices for autism screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
