South Central PA HCQU: Fall Prevention and Osteoporosis

Each month the HCQU conducts a variety of virtual trainings for anyone in the community to attend, at no cost. To register for a training, please contact Katie Freeman at kf1@theadvocacyalliance.org

• Fall Prevention and Osteoporosis: This training provides an overview on fall prevention specific to individuals with developmental disabilities and conditions, such as osteoporosis, that contribute to their increased risk of falls. This training provides information on risk factors and assessments, causes of falls and effective ways to prevent falls.

The South Central PA HCQU works to support and improve the developmental disability community service systems by building capacity and competency to meet the physical and behavioral health care needs of persons who have developmental disabilities.
