Families First: "How to Have Hard Conversations with Those Who Support You" and "Guiding Generations"

All families receiving early intervention services in Philadelphia are welcome. Families First was developed and is taught by parents of children in Early Intervention, in partnership with nationally recognized professionals.

• September 24, 10 AM: How to Have Hard Conversations with Those Who Support You (Zoom)
  • Whether you’re talking with family, friends, caregivers, or professionals, this session will help you communicate with confidence, strengthen relationships, and advocate for your child’s needs.
• October 6, 10 AM: Guiding Generations (Hybrid)
  • Project GG is an intergenerational learning program serving the community. Learn how every generation within a family can play a vital role in supporting early intervention and education. Refreshments and snacks will be provided for those who join in person.

Families First is sponsored by Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), Elwyn Early Learning Services and The Philadelphia Interagency Coordinating Council (PICC). Families First is conducted by the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University.
