Milestone HCQU West: Internet Safety for Self-Advocates

This online training was developed for both those we support and their supporters. Join for an overview of internet safety through review and discussion. Different topics each week range from social media to dating sites to pornography use and even scams. Various safety skills are reviewed and tips are provided on using the internet more wisely and safely.

The class consists of six sessions scheduled every other week.  The self-advocate can attend privately or have a support person with them.  **Limited to 10 participants.**

Milestone is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides a continuum of support, treatment, and residential and vocational services to individuals with behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. The Milestone Health Care Quality Units serve 18 western Pennsylvania counties by providing training to developmental disability providers, thus setting the standard for care.
