Support Center for Child Advocates: Kids at Court: Access and Inclusion for Youth with Disabilities

At the Kids at Court Conference, gain trauma-sensitive communication strategies for children with disabilities.

Attendees will learn communication strategies for children with disabilities, including physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities; d/Deaf or hard of hearing children; children with vision impairment or low vision; and children with mental health challenges.

The content has been informed by the perspective of those with lived experience, external partners and advisors, and Child Advocates’ Complex Medical Needs project staff. A pre-requisite online training is required.

  • 7.0 CLE credits are available (2.0 substantive/1.0 ethics for the online pre-requisite training; 3.0 substantive/1.0 ethics for the in person conference)
  • $75 for CLE registration (non-public interest attorneys), $50 for CLE registration (public interest attorneys)
  • Space is limited, pre-registration required, no walk-ins will be admitted.

This conference is open to all attorneys in Pennsylvania who interact with children and youth in their courtroom practice, including, but not limited to, criminal, dependency, delinquency, civil, and domestic relations.
