Milestone HCQU West: Facilitating Healing in the Lives of People with IDD

Hosted by the Milestone Health Care Quality West (HCQU).

This talk will address the key ingredients for healing in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  It will provide tools to facilitate healing and explore post-traumatic recovery.

Karyn Harvey is a psychologist who has been in the field for over 35 years and has written several books on the topics of trauma, identity, and healing in the lives of people with IDD.

Milestone is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides a continuum of support, treatment, and residential and vocational services to individuals with behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. The Milestone Health Care Quality Units serve 18 western Pennsylvania counties by providing training to developmental disability providers, thus setting the standard for care.
