Milestone HCQU West: Internet Safety for Self-Advocates

Hosted by the Milestone Health Care Quality West (HCQU).

This 6-session online training was developed for both those we support and their supporters. An overview of internet safety is reviewed and discussed. Different topics each week range from social media to dating sites to pornography use and even scams. Various safety skills are reviewed and tips are provided on using the internet more wisely and safely.

**Sessions are scheduled every other week beginning January 16 and ending March 27. Self-advocates can attend privately or have a support person with them. Limited to 15 participants.**

Milestone is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides a continuum of support, treatment, and residential and vocational services to individuals with behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. The Milestone Health Care Quality Units serve 18 western Pennsylvania counties by providing training to developmental disability providers, thus setting the standard for care.
