Not Playing Family Feud: Working with Families

Families are an important part of the lives of people with disabilities and their involvement with and cooperation with staff can be vital in providing excellent services. Participants will learn strategies for how to support families and the people they serve alike. Working through conflict and conflicting viewpoints will be emphasized in this session.

Heather Hermans has an Honors BA in Disability Studies. She is a Behaviour Therapist in the clinical department at Vita Community Living Services.

Linda Borsato is a Social Service Worker graduate. She is the Operational Residential Manager at Vita Community Living Services.
