Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health and Safety Guide
ASERT has compiled resources for those with autism and those who care for people with autism relating to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
This training session will provide an overview of seizure disorders; this includes what happens during a seizure, possible causes, triggers, and treatment options. Different types of seizure activity will also be discussed. This training will also focus on what to do during a seizure to provide basic seizure first aid and when to initiate emergency services. A film on seizure first aid will be shown. There will also be some discussion on the management of a seizure disorder, the importance of documentation, and seizure home safety.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder:
FASD- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder: Behavioral Health Challenges Associated with Prenatal Alcohol Exposure This training will focus on the behavioral characteristics associated with FASD and appropriate treatment interventions. Focusing on reasons for misdiagnosis, co-occurring disorders, educational and social difficulties. Behavioral health techniques, medication and parent training will be reviewed to provide a wide range of services for individuals.
