Philadelphia Museum of Art: Sensory-Friendly Morning

Hosted by the Philadelphia Museum of Art

Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory sensitivities and their families are invited to join!

  • Pre-visit materials including a photo-illustrated “Social Story” sent to all registered participants to help prepare for the experience.
  • Experience one area of the museum before busy public hours.
  • Open-ended art activities designed to be flexible for all ages and abilities.
  • Low-sensory zone available for quiet breaks.
  • Fidgets and noise-cancelling headphones available to borro.
  • On-hand support from Occupational Therapy student volunteers from Thomas Jefferson University.

Sensory Friendly Morning is free but does require advance registration. Please email AccessProg@philamuseum.org to reserve your spot.
