July

  • Depression7/7/22, 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.
    • This training provides an overview of depression, including causes, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions as well as ways in which depression may present and be treated in the dually diagnosed population.
  • Lyme Disease7/13/22, 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
    • This training provides information on Lyme disease including causes, symptoms, risk factors, diagnostic and screening tests, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
  • Understanding Common Lab Tests7/18/22, 11:00a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of common lab tests, why they may be ordered, what abnormal results could indicate, and tips for a successful visit.
  • Cardiovascular Disease7/26/22, 1:00 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.
    • The training provides an overview of the cardiovascular system and common cardiovascular diseases including causes, symptoms, risk factors, diagnostic and screening tests, treatment options, and prevention strategies.

August 

  • Down Syndrome8/2/22, 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.
    • This training provides an overview of Down Syndrome and ways to support individuals with Down Syndrome. This training features causes, risk factors, complications, and management strategies.
  • The Fatal Five (Aspiration, Constipation, Dehydration, Seizures and Sepsis)8/11/22, 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of the conditions included in the fatal five, their causes, risk factors, complications, and treatments as well as preventative strategies.
  • Delusional Disorder8/16/22, 1:00p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of delusional disorder, including signs, treatments, and support strategies.
  • Diabetes8/25/22, 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of diabetes including causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, comparison of hypoglycemia with hyperglycemia, treatment options, long-term management strategies, and complications.

September

  • Communicating with the Nonverbal Individual  – 9/9/22, 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of effective interpersonal communication, challenges experienced with nonverbal communication, and strategies to support individuals who are nonverbal.
  • Universal Precautions 9/14/22, 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of universal precautions, including elements needed to spread infections, routes of transmission, and prevention techniques.
  • Cultural Diversity 9/20/22, 10:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.
    • This training provides an overview of culture, cultural diversity, and cultural competence. This training features the value of cultural competency and biases that may be a barrier to increase cultural competence.
  • Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) 9/30/22, 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
    • This training provides an overview of DID including associated behaviors as well as treatment and management strategies.
