Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health and Safety Guide
ASERT has compiled resources for those with autism and those who care for people with autism relating to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
SNUGS is a non-profit, national organization, with a student group chapter of the organization at the University of Pennsylvania. The group’s core mission will focus on decreasing the number of drownings amongst children with special needs, which is the #1 cause of death for children with intellectual disabilities.
Why you should sign up:
1. SNUGS provides free swim lessons. They are personalized one-on-one lessons to provide water safety and technique to children of all experience levels.
2. SNUGS is a well-established organization currently active at Yale University, University of California-Davis, Amherst College, Cornell University, Georgetown University, Rutgers University, MIT, and Wagner College and are still expanding.
3. Trained and experienced volunteer swim instructors are all undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania and are ready to cater specifically to every child’s needs.
