Coronavirus (COVID-19) Health and Safety Guide
ASERT has compiled resources for those with autism and those who care for people with autism relating to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
This is a Virtual Teen Resiliency Training that will last approximately 2 hours. Since this is a virtual training those that register will be broken up into small groups. Expect your time to be from 9-11 a.m. unless you are specifically told otherwise. Youth will be emailed their confirmed training time as they get closer to the training date.
Youth need to be between the ages of 12-17 years old to be able to attend this training. In this training your youth will learn skills related to Optimism, Self-Regulation, Self-Awareness, and Strengths of Character.
Youth will learn these skills by going through training’s such as Hunt the Good Stuff, Goal Setting,and Assertive Communication to name a few. These training’s will help your youth in their academic life, social life, and most importantly their home life. These skills and lessons will help your youth over come adverse situation that they my face in life, no matter what they might be.
This will create an easier environment for your youth to communicate, meet other military youth, and learn in a way that is beneficial to them. In addition, they are able to ensure that the skills they are teaching are being understood and used properly.
