PCHC: Transitioning into Community Living

The uncertainty of choice entering into a community living arrangement after spending years in placements as a child can feel scary and overwhelming. Most times, individuals have never had to make a choice, their days were planned to the minute.

This training will explore some of the common behavioral challenges that individuals face with newly found freedom of choice. How structure and routine provide a sense of security. The unrecognized traumas of placements and family disruptions.
