PA Family Network: Waiver Basics Workshops

Free workshop, but registration is required. These workshops are created by family members and self-advocates FOR family members and self-advocates.

Join the PA Family Network in this 2-part workshop to learn how waivers can support your loved one. Target Audience: Families with individuals just entering the system.

Waiver Basics- Part 1: Tuesday, March 18th, 10:00 am – 12:00  pm AND Wednesday, March 26th, 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm.

• Address the importance of having a vision of your loved one’s needs to live a good life
• Basic information of how to register, apply and access waiver services

Waiver Basics- Part 2: Tuesday, March 25th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm AND Thursday, March 27th, 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm

• Individual Supports Plan (ISP) Basics
• Overview of waiver services

The PA Family Network is a program of Vision for Equality and is funded through the PA Office of Developmental Programs. They are a statewide peer-to-peer information and support initiative for families of people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
