West End Fair: Sensory Friendly Morning

During the “Sensory-Friendly Morning,” specific measures will be implemented to accommodate individuals with sensory processing disorders such as autism. The fair will modify the rides and games, reduce sound levels, and dim or turn off lights to prevent overstimulation.

Select exhibits and food stands will be open, providing ample opportunities for attendees to engage with the fair’s offerings. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to explore the livestock area and interact with the animals, further enhancing the inclusive and joyful atmosphere.

The object of the fair is: to promote a healthy interest in the West End of Monroe County in the raising of thoroughbred horses, cattle, sheep, swine, and poultry; to increase the quality and quantity of grains, fruits, and vegetables; to assist in the social uplift of the West End by bringing all classes of rural life together to vie with each other in exhibiting the best that the West End can produce; finally to afford a day of recreation and pleasure.
