Assuring Health and Safety: What does that mean for the Direct Support Professional?

One critical responsibility of the direct support professional is assuring health and safety of participants being supported.  This targeted training presented by the Bureau of Autism Services will explore the topic of health and safety, including but not limited to incident management; abuse and neglect prevention and reporting; strategies for assuring health and safety, and balancing what is important for a participant from a health and safety perspective versus what is important to the participant.
