It is estimated that 1 in 68 children has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Research shows that Hispanic children are often diagnosed later than the national average. With prevalence rates on the rise, it is important that families of underserved communities have access to quality information and resources.
The Autism NOW Center and the Autism Society of America have partnered to offer a free resource to Spanish-speaking families. Join them for this webinar, which will be offered entirely in Spanish. Presenters will provide an overview of ASD; discuss steps involved in screening and diagnosis; address existing barriers for Latino families; and help connect families to resources in their community.
