Overview

This resource, part of the Be Safe resource collection, is a social story that explains some of the differences in a healthy relationship compared to an unhealthy relationship.

Two people talking to each other.

It is healthy to spend time with people who love me and care about me.

A girl asking a guy,

These people will try to keep me safe and happy.

A man saying,

Sometimes people might only pretend to care about me.

A man saying,

These people might hurt me or hurt my feelings.

A man saying,

It is not healthy for me to spend a lot of time with them.

Three poeple standing together. One girl says,

I should ask to spend more time with the people who keep me safe and happy.
