Data on Autism: Five Facts to Know

Facts from the 2018 Center for Disease Control (CDC) report on autism

The ADDM Network report is based on the information collected from the health and special education records of 8-year-old children who lived in communities in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin during 2014. This information is used to estimate prevalence rates of autism across the United States, as well as information related to services, early identification of autism, guiding future research, and informing policies.
