The ADDM (Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring) Network report is based on the information collected from the health and special education records of 8-year-old children who lived in communities in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin during 2014. This information is used to estimate 1 in 36 children have autism across the United States, as well as information related to services, early identification of autism, guiding future research, and informing policies.
