Getting a Haircut

I can get my hair cut at home or I can go to a salon.

If I go to a salon, I should make an appointment before I go.

Inside of the salon, I might see other people who are getting a haircut.

I also might see pictures, lights, and lots of tools for styling someone’s hair.

When I get to the salon, I should wait for my turn.

When it is my turn, I can sit in the chair that the stylist tells me to use.

The stylist will put an apron over my body to keep my clothes clean.

Sometimes the stylist will wash my hair for me. I can lay back and stay still while they do this.

The stylist might use scissors or clippers to cut my hair.

Sometimes the stylist will use tools that make noise. Hair dryers blow warm air and clippers buzz.

I might feel nervous, but I am safe when I visit the stylist. I should try to sit still.

After the stylist tells me I am done, I should pay for the haircut.
