Going Shopping During COVID-19

Overview

This resource provides a visual guide for individuals with autism about going shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic. An animated version of the social story is also included.

There are new rules to follow when going shopping.

I put on my mask before going into the store and I stay 6 feet away from others inside the store.

I only touch the things I am buying.

If someone is near something I need, I can wait until they move away.

There may be arrows and marks on the floor showing where to stand when checking out.

When I get home from the store, I wash my hands for 20 seconds.
